Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A partially blurred photograph, from left to right, of Mertie West and H. H. West, Jr. standing to the side of a cabin(?) near Matilija Creek. Mertie stands slightly more forward at left. She is blurred and appears to be caught mid motion. She faces right, but her head is turned towards the camera. H. H. West, Jr. leans against the side of the cabin(?) as he looks towards the ground and rests the back of his hand to his check. The cabin(?) stands at right. Its lower portion is constructed of lumber and canvas covers the upper portion. They are surrounded by woods. Text from negative sleeve: 654. Matilija, Calif.
