Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A poorly exposed photograph, from left to right, of Mertie West, Agnes Whitaker and H. H. West dining at a picnic table at Soper's Ranch. All three sit on the far side of the table, facing towards the camera. They are viewed from a slight angle. Mertie sits at left, closet to the camera and looks down the table to her right. Agnes sits center, she raises a drink and also looks to the right. H. H. West, Sr. sits at the far end. He holds a slice of melon and looks towards the left. The table is covered in a white tablecloth with plates, cups and other dining implements sitting atop it. Trees stand in the background. A long tear stretches vertically from the bottom edge, right-of-center. Text from negative sleeve: 657. Matilija, Calif. About 1927.
