Will Mead coming up out of the cave that was a few feet from the south west corner of their house. Into this cave Uncle Dan used to run us in the night when a big storm came up. Was afraid of cyclones. We took comforts along with us and crawled into the bins for vegetables and slept. Smelled of dill pickle barrels, cabbages, old potatoes, onions, etc. Every once in a while Uncle Dan would go to the door, raise it, and peek out to see if the buildings were still there. How it thundered and lightninged. Grace and Walter Biddick picking a chicken, with help from Will Mead. 2 negatives.
