Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Lucy Mead and William Mead help costume Grace Biddick. Both Lucy and William wear large hats. William wears overalls and Lucy wears an apron tied around her waist. William places a hat on Grace's head, while Lucy holds onto a blanket, which is draped over Grace's shoulders. Grace wears a mask. There is a house behind them. A cylindrical object is on the ground behind William. Lucille Adeline West Mead was the sister of H. H. West's father. William Mead was her son and Grace Biddick was her granddaughter. Text from negative sleeve: 666. Red Oak, Iowa. Meads farm. Sept. 1900.
