H. H. West's first cousin once removed, Grace Biddick, feeds a calf. She kneels down and tilts a bucket toward the animal. The calf has a collar with a rope attached to it. There are trees in the background.
Text from negative sleeve: 667. East. Red Oak, Iowa. Meads farm. Sept. 1900. Working the road with a scraper. H. H. West churning at the rear of the house. Uncle Daniel Mead with scythe. Other not identified. Grace Biddick feeding a calf. A family group in the Mead home. At left are Uncle Dan Mead and Aunt Lucy seated. Standing behind with derby is Will Mead. Nell Brydolf seated at extreme right. Also are Walter and Grace Biddick. Others not identified. 5 negatives.
