He stands just right-of-center and is slightly in profile, facing left. He wears a large coat with his hands tucked into his coat pockets. Behind him at left, a couple steps lead up to a house in shadow. Trees and a picket fence stretch across the background in the near distance. Text from negative sleeve: 671. East. Red Oak, Iowa. Meads farm. About 1902. This photo of Will Mead wasmade[sic] in the xxx winter time, and sent to me.
