Photograph of Elizabeth West (front, left) watching Mary West (center) ride a donkey through a shallow stream along a trail near Mount Wilson. Elizabeth stands in the foreground and in partial shadow with her back to the camera. She faces towards the center of the image where her mother is riding a donkey through a stream. Mary sits atop a donkey with her back to camera and faces right. She fords the stream and approaches the trail that emerges from the right side it. Two other people, obscured by shadow, sit atop donkeys on the near side of the stream and await their turn to cross.
