Description

West on his return trip home from visiting Frank Lemberger in Oakland. The truck is viewed at an angle. The front end of the vehicle faces left and the side extends towards the right. Damage can be seen on the front end and cab. A man sits behind the front end of the car near a row of houses. A tire sits to the left of him. A dirt road extends from the left up to the right in the foreground. A house stands in the background on the right. Additional houses stand in a row as they recede back to the left from the house at right. Text from negative sleeve: 687. Oakland, Calif. About 1915. We start on a trip to Mendocino County. Went north thru Oakland, Calif. and stopped to see Uncle Frank Lemberger who was then living at Oakland. Uncle Frank Lemberger in front of my Buick in front of his Oakland home. As we were leaving Uncle Frnaks we came to a wrecked truck and I took a photo of it. 2 negatives
