He stands in the near distance, left-of-center, and faces right as he turns his head to look towards camera. The car is stopped in the road to his right. He stands at the passenger-side rear tire and holds an air pump while bracing it to the ground with his foot. The side of the car extends to the right and the front of the car extends beyond the frame. The road stretches back towards the left where a horse in the distance enters the image.
