H. H. West Jr. and H. H. West's brother-in-law, Will Shaw, hunting for grasshoppers. West holds a large stick. Shaw holds a smaller stick. He wears a hat and kneels in the dirt. There is a fence beyond them and brush and mountains beyond that.
