Mertie West was H. H. West's second wife. Agnes Whitaker was her sister-in-law.
Agnes Whitaker and Mertie West prepare food at a table in a campsite. Agnes works over a pan. There is a box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes on the table, along with plates, and other objects. There is a camping stove at the left and other items piled up under the table. A man (possibly William Shaw) is visible at the far right.
