Text from negative sleeve: 742. Pomona, Calif. About 1895. The Smith Ranch near North Pomona, or Claremont. Bim Smith's folks had a ranch there, bounded on the north by the Santa Fe railroad. I used to go out Saturday evenings and stay over Sunday. 1. L to R: H.H.West standing, Bim Smith sitting. 2. Ed Smith, dog and coyote skin. 3. The ranch house looking north.
