Tacked to the barn is a pelt from a coyote; it hangs to the left of Ed. A gun is propped up against the barn to the left of the coyote pelt. Text from negative sleeve: 742. Pomona, Calif. About 1895. The Smith Ranch near North Pomona, or Claremont. Bim Smith's folks had a ranch there, bounded on the north by the Santa Fe railroad. I used to go out Saturday evenings and stay over Sunday. 1.
