View of the town square. A man and woman walk on the sidewalk at the left and other people walk on the sidewalk beyond them. A man crosses the square in the distance. There is a horse and buggy parked by the trees at the right. Other people walk among the trees. Utility poles and wires stretch down the street at the left. Buildings are visible at the left of the photograph and stretching across the block in the distance. There is a shadow of a man at the left of the photograph.
Text from negative sleeve: 792. East. Red Oak, Iowa. 1900. North side of the square from the south west corner. Sign on the post reads: COOLBAUGH STREET.
