Sam Longstreet stands on the sidewalk near his home. He wears a hat and has his hands on his hips. He stands in front of a fence. There are other dwellings visible in the distance. There are trees throughout.
Text from negative sleeve: 800. East. Red Oak, Iowa, 1900. The Longstreet home from the west side, down the street a bit. Sam Longstreet at extreme left. The Longstreet home is behind the trees, and has some fencing in front. The big barn back in the rear over the rear of the Longstreet house is the Bonham barn, used for the terminus of the street railroad.
