Forrest Whitaker was the brother of H. H. West's second wife, Mertie. Agnes Whitaker was Forrest's wife, and Abraham Whitaker was his father.
Group sits at a table at their campsite near Rush Creek. The table is under an awning, which is attached to a tent. Wes and Zetta Witherby look over their shoulders. Mr. Witherby holds is hand out to his side. The table is covered with cans and dishes, and there is a long, wrapped package on the end of the table. Forrest Whitaker stands at the other end of the table holding on to his hat. A metal object and a jacket are on the ground in the foreground. There are mountains in the background.
