Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of towels and bed sheets hanging on a clothesline in the West's yard to air or dry out after their trip to Rock Creek. A garage or shed stands in the near distance left-of-center. From the top of the building near the center of the image, a line stretches towards the camera and right. About 5 towels or bed sheets hang folded over the line. Beneath the line, a wood-planked walkway runs between the garage's or shed's door at center towards the lower right corner. Another plank runs perpendicular to it at left. A tree stands behind the clothesline at right and power lines stretch across the image above the garage or shed. Text from negative sleeve: 874. Rock Creek trip 1941. Arrived safely at home, and hung out all camping equipment, etc for a good airing before stowing away for the next season. Two views of the clothes lines in our rear yard. 2 negatives
