Photograph of USAT Sheridan, viewed from a distance, docked at a pier in San Francisco. The Sheridan sits docked at the pier in the distance at center. It is viewed from the pier, with its port bow facing towards the camera. A large anchor hangs from the leftmost side of the ship. To the right of the anchor, printing on the side of the ship reads, "U.S. ARMY TRANSPORT. SHERIDAN." The ship extends back to the right. Four masts and a funnel stand above the top deck. The pier occupies most of the foreground with the ship docked to the left of it. A few people walk along the pier in the distance. Men swab the deck of the pier near the port bow of the ship, left-of-center.
