Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Elephant with the Scenic Railway roller coaster in the background. A sign posted on a pole at the right reads, in part, "high diver performs at..." Debris, which may be droppings, is at the elephant's feet. There are benches at the left, along with a fence surrounding the body of water. A man stands by the fence on the other side of the water, with the roller coaster tracks and tunnel behind him. There are wires overhead. Text from negative sleeve: 951. San Francisco, Sutro Heights, 1900. An amusement park close by. A captive elephant, with mother looking at it. 2 negatives.
