Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. San Carlos Borromeo Basilica. People walk around the building, which has an angled roof and is topped with multiple crosses. There is a fence surrounding the building. A horse and cart are parked in front of the basilica. H. H. West's sister, Nella, took this photograph. Text from negative sleeve: 967. Monterey, Calif. 1901. These photos were taken by Nella West and I think are all of the mission at Monterey, but may be also at San Jose as she was also down there. 6 negatives.
