Ade Bystle is Adolph Bystle. Both he and John Bidwell were relatives of H. H. West's first wife, Mary.
Text from negative sleeve: 1001. Shasta County trip, 1915. Cayton Valley, across the Pitts River from Burney Falls. Here lived John Bidwell and his family. Ran a store, was a fire ranger and postmaster of Cayton. All in his home. L to R: Ade Bystel, John Bidwell, A neighbor. 1 film.
