Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of Wilfrid Cline, Jr. organizing some gear while standing next to one of the large logs in camp near the McCloud River. The logs were leftover from an abandoned logging operation. Wilfrid Cline, Jr. stands left-of-center, in profile and facing right. He leans forward over the large log in front of him. The cut side of the log faces the camera and some supplies sit atop the log. Wilfrid rests the gear he is organizing on top of the log. Another, smaller, log stretches behind him on the left; it runs parallel to the log in front of Wilfrid. A bench extends from the right side of the large log and out-of-frame to the right. A couple of buckets sit on the ground in front of the log and bench. Shrubs and tall pines stand in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1035. Trinity County trip, 1917. McCloud river camp.
