Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph, from left to right, of Wilfrid Cline, Jr. and Harry Schmitz sitting in H. H. West's Buick, which is parked in front of the general store in McArthur. The car is parked on a slight incline at center. It is viewed from the side and faces right. Wilfrid Cline sits in the Buick's backseat and turns his head towards the camera. Harry Schmitz sits in the front passenger seat and looks to the camera as well. A pipe hangs from his mouth. Behind the car stands the general store in McArthur. The roof is missing a few shingles and a sign hangs from the eave. The sign reads, "GENERAL MERCHANDISE." An attached building stands to the left of the store; it is mostly out of frame. Another building stands at right, also extending out of frame. A tree-covered hillside rises behind the structures.
