A car is parked behind him and to the left. It is viewed from the side and faces right. The front of the car is visible behind Wilfrid while the back of the car extends beyond the left side of the image. A rucksack lies on the ground behind and to the right of Wilfrid. A rifle rests against it. The field he stands in extends into the distance at right. Low hills are visible in the far distance. A thin white line runs across the image, just below Wilfrid's shoulders. Text from negative sleeve: 1051. Trinity County trip, 1917. Coon Camp. 1. Wilfrid Cline Jr with two limits of sage hen. They were thick. We could drive the car right into flocks. The large film. 2. Small film. Harry Schmitz with two limits of sage hen. 3. Small film. Left to right. Wilfrid Cline Jr and Harry Schmitz cleaning sage hen. 4. The sage hen were color of the rocks. I shot one and hunted it for a long time, and when I did finally locate it I took a photo of it lying on the ground. Can you see it? 1 large and 3 small films
