Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of H. H. West's Buick parked off a dirt road that runs through countryside somewhere between Truckee and Lake Tahoe. The car is parked to the right of a dirt road which runs along the base of a hillside. The Buick is viewed at an angle from the back and the side. Two people sit in the car with their backs to the camera. The car's license plate reads, "CAL 288." To the left of the road, trees dot the ground in a small valley that stretches through the left and center of the image. In the distance, left-of-center, a bridge crosses over a river. A tree-covered mountain rises in the background behind and to the left of it. The mountain top extends across the image to the right. Text from negative sleeve: 1054. Trinity County trip, 1917.
