A distant photograph of Mount Shasta viewed from within the town of Sisson (now Mount Shasta). Tree stumps line a rock that spans across the bottom edge of the frame. Open space stretches back to the mid-ground where a few dwellings stand in a row at right. Other dwellings dot the mid-ground at left. Far in the distance, Mount Shasta rises at center. A little bit of snow sits atop its peaks.
The city of Sisson was renamed and is currently known as Mount Shasta.
