At right, Albert Schmitz sits on the ground in front of some woman's Ford that has broken down. He attempts to fix the problem. The Ford faces directly to the camera. Its license plate reads, "CAL 80821 1914." To the left of it, H. H. West's Buick is parked. It is viewed at an angle from the rear and the side; it faces right. The woman stands near the back of the car and converses with Mary A. West who is sitting in the backseat. To the right of the woman, Elizabeth (left) and Frances (right) sit on the car's running board. A third car is parked in the distance behind and to the right of the Ford.
