Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Irene Schmitz is misidentified as her brother, Chester Schmitz, in the metadata from the negative sleeve. Photograph, from left to right, of H. H. West, Frances West, Irene Schmitz, Elizabeth West and Albert Schmitz standing on the bank of a stream near Silver Lake and posing with dozens of fish. The group stands at center on a pebble-covered bank of a stream. H. H. West and Albert Schmitz bookend the group at far left and far right, respectively, and hold a line from which dozens of fish hang between them. The children stand behind the fish and look to the camera. A canoe lies on the shore behind the group. The stream flows behind them at right, curving to the left where it disappears behind the bank. On the opposite bank, a mountain rises in the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1076. Silver Lake trip 1914. Camp at Silver Lake. 1. Mrs Mary A. West with couple trout.
