West, Ed Featherstone and Charles Lick lunching beneath a tree during a fishing trip in Sisquoc. A tree's branches hang overhead at left. Beneath the branches, H. H. West sits on the ground, obscured by shadow. He faces towards the camera. Sitting more forward and to the right of him, Ed Featherstone also sits on the ground to eat. He sits facing the left. Behind him, 2 cooking pots sit on a rack. Standing up at right, Charles Lick faces towards the left, but looks to the camera. He holds a fishing rod out in front of him. A fence stretches across a field behind them. The field extends to the base of a mountain, which rises in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 1083. Sisquoc. About 1920. Ed Featherstone, Charles Lick and self drove up to Sisquoc one night trout fishing. Ed drove his Packard. Splendid fishing. 1. L to R: H.H.West, Ed Featherstone sitting and Chas Lick standing. Taken by driver of wagon who drove us up from the ranch house. Harry Becker, who shot with us at Crane Lake 1910-1915 was Game Warden San Luis Obispo County, and got us per mit [sic] to go on Sisquoc. 2. An xxxxxxx abandoned ranch house on the creek close to camp. Featherstone coming thru the wire fence. 2 films
