All other photographs from the "Smith West tour" are dated 1913. The date for this photograph has been provided by the cataloger to reflect this. Distant photograph, from left to right, of Mary A. West, Isabelle Smith and Dave F. Smith standing in the road among pines while they stop in Strawberry. The road spans across the foreground and recedes into the distance. Mary West, Isabelle Smith and Dave F. Smith stand in row on the roadside in the near distance, right-of-center. Mary faces left, Isabelle faces slightly left and Dave is turned towards the camera. A car is parked on the far side of the road behind them. Their other car is parked on the side of the road to the left of the group. It faces towards the camera. Pines line the roadside as it extends into the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1092. Smith West tour 1915. Strawberry. 1. My Buick near the water trough. There were live trout in the trough. 2. Beautiful strawberry. Our cars in the shade. L to R: Mary A West. Mrs Dave Smith. Dave F Smith. We had a fine lunch here and then caught some trout in the stream across the road. 2 films. In the little tool house where we had lunch, was the old hotel register. Went back to Civil War days. Lots of prominent men's names on the register.
