West stands at center in a sunlit clearing and faces slightly left. He looks down towards his hand at left which holds up a couple of fish. A car is parked behind him. It is viewed at an angle from the front and the side; it faces left. A second car is parked behind it at right and is oriented in the same manner. Pines surround the clearing where H. H. West stands and line the background behind the cars. Text on negative sleeve: 1094. Smith West tour 1913. Lake Tahoe. At Tallac. Had my brakes relined here. Ate supper in the hotel, and rented a couple cabins to sleep in for the night. Too tired to camp. 1. Hotel Tallac on the South shore. 2. Dave and I hired an Indian to take us out fishing the next morning. Think Dave caught one, but we bought two more from an Indian fishing near us. Dave F. Smith with the fish. 3.
