Description

A bird's-eye view looking down, from left to right, on Nella West, Mary West and Isabelle Smith stopped by the shore of Lake Tahoe and overlooking the lake. Nella West and Mary West sit in H. H. West's Buick, which is viewed from above. The car is at center and is viewed at a slight angle from the side and the front; it faces right. Nella sits leftmost in the backseat and Mary sits in the front seat. The Buick is parked behind another car which extends out of frame at right. A dirt road passes across the image on the far side of the car. Beyond the road, the shore lines Lake Tahoe. Isabelle Smith stands on the right side of the shore. She faces towards the lake as she looks across Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe stretches into the distance and mountains can be seen rising from the opposite shore. Text from negative sleeve: 1096.
