The women and the camp are in the near distance. Nella A. West sits in front of a tree at left. She faces camera, but turns her head to the right. Sticks and twigs sit in a pile to the left of her and a couple of crates sit on the ground to the right of her. Isabelle Smith appears to walk through the camp, right-of-center. She faces and walks towards the right. A table stands at right. Pots and pans sit on the ground among the aspen trees behind the women. Smoke billows across the image at left. Beyond the camp, patches of Silver Lake are visible between the trees. Mountains rise in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 1105. Smith West tour August 1913. Silver Lake. 6 pictures of our camp in the Aspens at Silver Lake. Either too dark when taken, or poor film, or poor development. Cannot make out who are in the pictures, but it is our party. 6 films
