Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Distant view of members of the Smith West tour milling about their campsite at Silver Lake. Sticks, twigs and ground brush cover the ground in the foreground. The camp stands in the mid-ground and off to the left among some aspen trees. A couple members of the camping party stand around a table at left. Behind and to the right of them, a canopy stretches between the trees and a tent stands. Wood is piled in front of an aspen that stands right-of-center. The group's 2 cars are parked in the distance at right. They are both viewed at an angle from the front and face to the left. Beyond the trees, mountainsides are visible rising in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 1105. Smith West tour August 1913. Silver Lake. 6 pictures of our camp in the Aspens at Silver Lake. Either too dark when taken, or poor film, or poor development. Cannot make out who are in the pictures, but it is our party. 6 films
