Distant view, from left to right, of Dave F. Smith, Isabelle Smith, Nella West and Mary A. West posing by their cars outside a log cabin near Casa Diablo Hot Springs. A patch of grassy land stretches across the foreground. A dirt road runs behind it. Dave F. West sits leftmost in his EMF with Isabelle sitting to his right. They both look towards the camera. The car is in partial view. It is viewed from the side and faces right. H. H. West's Buick is parked behind and ahead of it. It too is viewed from the side and faces right. Nella West stands behind the hood of the car and looks to the camera. Mary A. West stands rightmost. She stands to the right of the front of the Buick and looks to the camera. Mary and Nella also stand in front of the far left side of the old log cabin. The cabin stands right of center on the far side of the dirt road. Its stone chimney stands at right and begins to topple slightly. A painted sign rises above the far left side of the cabin. The sign reads, "46 MILES TO [???]SEY's [?????] AND [???? ???] SHOE SHOP BISHOP." A tree-covered hillside rises in the distance.
Text from negative sleeve: 1120. Smith West tour August 1913. Casa Diablo Hot Springs. 1. The old log cabin at the springs. Dave F Smith's EMF with he and his wife at left. Dave F.Smith and Wife, Mrs Mary A West and Nella A West by side of the wooden shack over the biggest hot spring. Used for a bath house. 3. Off the road just above the old cabin is a grave stone.
