Dirt ground sprawls across the foreground. The women are in the near distance at center. Nella stands left-of-center and in profile. She rests a hand to her hip and faces right, towards Isabelle. Isabelle sits at a table to the right of Nella, in profile as well. She faces left and looks towards Nella. Pots sit atop the camp stove which sits in the foreground. Its stovepipe rises so that it is between Nella and Isabelle. Rocks jut into the foreground from the lower left corner. Pots and other camping equipment sit on these rocks which retain an outcrop of trees along the left side of the image. In the near distance, a car is parked behind and to the right of Isabelle.
