Cottonwood Creek flows across the foreground. It cascades down rocks from right to left. Immediately in front of the creek, trees and ground brush line the near bank. On the far bank, rocks and ground brush line the bank at right and trees grow at left. H. H. West's Buick is parked on a road behind the creek's far bank. The car is left-of-center and is viewed from the side; it faces right. The road and the car are angled downward towards the right. A rocky and brush-covered hill- or mountainside stretches across the background. Text from negative sleeve: 1127. Smith West tour August 1913. Cottonwood Creek. We got in there the last day of August and next day September first the golden trout season opened and we were the only fishermen in there. 1. H.H.West's Buick on the grade up Cottonwood Creek. 2.
