Photograph of Dave F. Smith posing with trout in the Smith-West tour party's camp near Cottonwood Creek. Dave F. Smith stands right-of-center and faces towards the camera. He holds up a stick in front of him with both hands. Several golden trout hang vertically from the stick. Rocks sit piled behind Dave on the left. They retain an outcrop of trees that stretches behind Dave. A bench stands to the left of Dave and a camp dining table stands behind and to the right of him. Cooking gear is strewn about the area; pots sit on the rocks at left, on the bench and near the table at right. Trees occupy the near distance.
