Photograph of H. H. West posing with trout in the Smith-West tour party's camp near Cottonwood Creek. H. H. West stands at center and faces towards the left. He holds up a stick in front of him with both hands. Several golden trout hang vertically from the stick. Rocks sit piled behind H. H. on the left. They retain an outcrop of trees that stretches behind H. H. The camp stove sits on the ground to the left of H. H. A bench and camp dining table stand behind and to the right of him.
