He stands left-of-center in the foreground and is bent over, facing right. He holds a pot in both hands and turns it towards the ground. Water drained from the pot forms a small pool on the ground in front of Dave. He stands in a dirt road that passes across the image. In the near distance, a car is parked to the side of the road behind and to the right of Dave. It is parked to the left side of the road under a tree. It is viewed at an angle from the rear and faces right. Its license plate reads, "Z5 306 CAL." A shovel is propped against the front end of the car at far right.
