Mary A. West (Mary Adelbert Teel West Shepard) was H. H. West's first wife and the mother of West's children.
Using other photos as a reference, the man depicted here is Glen Velzy, not H. H. West.
Glen Velzy West stands in the front seat of a car as Mary West and Bessie Velzy climb out of the backseat. Elizabeth West and Frances West are also in the backseat. Mrs. West and Mrs. Velzy wear hats with ribbons that tie under their chins. There is an American flag in the backseat, as well as another one on the other side of the car. There is a basket on the floor of the backseat. There is a box on the running board, as well as cylindrical item. There are trees and a road in the background.
