Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Per the accompanying caption, the man in the photograph is H. H. West. Albert Schmitz is misidentified as H. H. West on the negative sleeve. A poorly lit photograph, from left to right, of: Elizabeth West, Al Schmitz, Mary A. West, Frances West, Irene Schmitz and Kate Schmitz gathered around their camp dining table near Oak Grove en route to Murietta from Warner Springs. The table stands in the near distance, right-of-center. Elizabeth West stands off to the left side of the table and faces slightly right. Al Schmitz stands behind her and appears to scratch his head. On the near side of the table, Mary West sits and Frances West and Irene Schmitz stand to her right. All have their backs to the camera. Kate Schmitz sits on the right side of the table. She faces towards the camera, but looks back towards the left. Dining implements sit atop the both the table and a trunk sitting in the foreground at left.
