Photograph of two fishermen standing over a small shark and spearing it while standing on a bridge somewhere between La Jolla and Ocean Beach. The shark lies on the bridge at center. It is viewed from the side and faces right. Two fishermen stand over the shark and clutch spears that extend out of the fish. The fisherman at left stands on the shark's tail as he holds onto one spear and a coil of rope. He looks down towards the fish. To his right, another fisherman bends over as he stands over the shark's head. He too holds onto a spear as he either tries to remove the spear or drive it into the shark. A couple spectators stand along the side of the bridge at left and one peers towards the shark. The bridge spans the width of the foreground and recedes into the distance along the right edge of the image. Transportation tracks and overhead cables run along the center of the bridge.
