Photograph of Keyo posing in front of the group's miner's tent that stands in the near distance at San Francisquito Canyon in Santa Clarita. Keyo stands close to the camera at left. He rests his hands to his hips as he looks to the camera. Across the grass that stretches behind him, a miner's tent stands at right, behind Keyo and next to his arm. Tree branches hover near the tent in the distance and a mountain rises in the background at left. A perforated number is stamped into the negative along the top edge of the frame at right. Text from negative sleeve: 1175. San Francisquito Canyon about 1923. I take Ambrose Cline, H.H.West Jr and our Japanese house boy to the canyon to camp out for a night. 1.
