Behind the rock pile, Frances West walks down a slightly sloped pathway towards the camera and the rock pile. She faces the camera as she carries a small pail. Further back on the path and behind Frances, Elizabeth stands and watches the scene while looking towards the camera. Thickets of short trees line both sides of the pathway and a brush-covered hillside rises in the far distance.
