Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. H. H. West Jr. poses with the men from his tent at Camp San Luis Obispo. West is second from the right and has his hands on his hips. Private Atchinson, at West's left, has his hands in his pockets. Private Connell also has his hands on his hips. The tent is behind them and has "U. S." printed on the top. They stand on a wooden walkway that is on dirt. At the right, there is another tent. Text from negative sleeve: 1191. Camp San Luis Obispo, California, March 8, 1942. 1. Picture taken in front of tent occupied by H. H. West Jr. It's [sic] number was Q-10. Four boys occupied it and I got them out in front and took 2 pictures of them. L to R: P. F. C. William T. Hindman. Private Connell. Private H. H. West Jr. Private Atchinson. 2 Same group, close up. H. H. West Jr. was the only one to leave for the north from this tent. The other 3 remained behind. 2 films.
