Description

Photograph, from left to right, of Bessie Velzy, Glen Velzy, Frances West, Minnie West and Elizabeth West standing on the shore in San Pedro and gazing out over the water. The group mostly stands at center with Elizabeth standing at right. All but Glen Velzy look out towards the water to the right; he looks down towards Frances West. Minnie West, Frances West, Glen Velzy and Bessie West stand in a row at center that extends back and to the left. Frances stands mostly hidden between Minnie and Glen. Elizabeth stands in front of the group at right. They stand on a shore lined by a rock barrier that passes in front of them. It stretches across the image at an upward angle from the lower right corner towards the left and behind the group. Deadman's Island sits out in the water behind and to the left of Bessie.
