Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West posing while Nina Meyers watches Glen Velzy repair the back of his chair during a trip to his cabin in Santa Anita Canyon. Mertie West stands left-of-center with her hands behind her back as she smiles to the camera. To her right and slightly in front of her, Glen Velzy sits in a folding chair that is missing its fabric backing. He sits in the chair, facing left, and holds the chair's backing in his lap as he works to mend it. Behind him, Nina Meyers stoops over and cranes her head towards him to watch him work. Glen Velzy's cabin stands in partial view at left behind Mertie and Nina. A tree stands behind and to the right of Glen. A steep slope rises in the distance at right between the cabin and the tree.
