Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of Glen Velzy sitting in a chair outside his cabin and working on some mending during a trip to Santa Anita Canyon. Glen Velzy sits in the near distance at center in a folding chair that is missing its backing. He sits facing slightly left and cranes his head downward towards the mending he holds by his lap. Cleared ground stretches in front of him and across the foreground. His cabin stands in partial view at left beneath the shade of a tree. A tree stands behind and slightly to the right of Glen. A low stone wall stretches across the image from the tree and out of frame on the right. A slope extends upward and into the background behind the tree and the cabin. Text from negative sleeve: 1225.
