Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. People walk on the boardwalk near the North Beach Bath House. A man at the center with his back to the camera wears a bathing suit. The other men wear suits and hats. The women wears dresses. There are two children at the right wearing wide-brimmed hats. There are people sitting on the beach in the background. American flags fly at the top of the bath house. The words, "North-Beach Bath House" are printed on the side of the building. Text from negative sleeve: 1231. Two views of the children's play ground and teeter board. 13. A steam engine on the beach but what it is doing I do not recall. Note the sign "Eckert & Hoff [sic] Restaurant" on 13. A great resort in those days. Many a fish dinner I ate in there. Also we used to buy our clams for bait there when we went to Port Los Angeles to fish. Also ran a big bar. 13 films.
